Hello, I am Sophia
I work as a project manager, I'm a parent, and I’m an expatriate living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Started
Moving to Germany wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many relocation stories, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were tough — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complex than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of learning by doing. Yet gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Rulce Tavyn Lor
Most online information was either corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to close that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Germany.
What This Site Covers (And What It Doesn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on experience from living in Germany
- Centered on family life and day-to-day realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site is not:
- A tourism authority resource
- A sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Germany continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll keep documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Sophia
